Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Julie immersed herself in the world of wine. She has worked in almost every facet of the industry, from the laboratory to the tasting room, and from the cellar to working as a sommelier. It is this diversity of experience that has equipped Julie with a unique set of skills that she strives to impart to others. Her passion for wine was truely ignited just after her 21st birthday. Coincidentally, this was just as the “Sideways” boom was taking hold of the Central Coast. After graduating from U.C. Irvine with a degree in Psychology, she joined the Peace Corps and traveled for 5 years. Julie then received her Post Bachelor's Degree from the University of Western Switzerland in Viticulture and Enology, and realized she was ready to return home to the Central Coast. Read MoreLess
